BLoved: A Practical Theology of Intimacy in the Garden

The teachings of BLoved provide tools to take back the land of the heart and maintain the territory recovered from the enemy. The enemy has no new strategies, whether someone copes with adverse childhood experiences by using sex, drugs, people pleasing or performing, at the heart is an individual who does not know the love of the Father. All coping mechanisms in response to a lie from the enemy lead to emotional and relational brokenness, while some also lead to physical bondage. When we walk in emotional health we are also able to walk in relational health and live out the commandment to love God, love ourselves and love others. The curriculum has three primary components: Understanding the heart of the Father, personal “tree” work which allows for self examination and confession, and developing a personal intimacy plan with the Lord to remain rooted and grounded in love.

Understanding the Heart of the Father: Intimacy in the Garden

A thorough review of God’s desire for relationship, the primary strategy of the enemy (shame and hiding from God) and God’s faithfulness in restoring our opportunity for intimacy with the Father.

Personal Tree Work

Examine the garden of your heart and identify the fruit and root of brokenness personally and in your family line. Identify barriers to receiving the love of the Father. Counter shame by reviewing one-on-one with your mentor. Develop personal strategies to resist the temptation of the enemy to eat from the old tree rather than feasting on the character of God.

The Making of a Bride: Intimacy with Jesus

Review what men and women need to feel loved based on The Four Laws of Love by Jimmy Evans. As the bride of Christ, develop a personal strategy to pursue intimacy with Jesus as your husband.  Whether male or female, all believers are invited into the courtship of their King to rule and reign as the bride of Christ.  Learn how to lay down your life for your Beloved and bring Him honor in the land.

“The integrity of a virtuous wife transforms her husband into an honored king.  But the wife that disgraces her husband weakens the strength of his identity.”

(Proverbs 12:4)
