Feasting on His Goodness: Stacie

While I didn’t come from an overtly traumatic background, I still had heart wounds. My way of coping with my brokenness was controlling as much as I could through performance. This showed a lack of trust in the goodness of God that He really had my best at heart. This was one of the barriers my tree work revealed that prevented me from fully receiving and resting in the love of God. Walking through BLoved helped me to see the Father’s heart for intimacy—He DESIRES to commune with me. But the most important take away I have from BLoved is feasting on God’s goodness. The enemy has no new tactics—he is a liar and his goal is to deceive us about who God is and who we are in Him. The tree work helps us to identify lies we’ve allowed to take root so that we can combat them with God’s Word—replacing the enemy’s lies with God’s powerful truth. We speak God’s character and nature over ourselves and our circumstances, rehearsing His truth to remind us that He is who He says He is and we are who He says we are in Christ. And as we do that, the voice of the enemy has less of a hold and pursuing intimacy with Jesus becomes more of a reality as we accept the most fundamental truth of all, that we are deeply and personally loved.
